Episode 28: A Historic Episode

In keeping with the theme of our Question of the Week of what historical event you'd most like to witness, we make our own history with what may be a record number of shut it downs. Lou suggests a prisoner drink a coffee mug full of butter, Greg makes Prairie Fire shots for the cast and introduces us to a blog by an older gentleman who appears to hate anyone younger than him.

Episode 25: One tequila, two tequila...

What starts off as one tequila shot to start the show quickly snowballs and words start slurring as the producer indulges himself. We touch on facial hair, why Yahoo hates mustaches, bands/acts that aren't around that we'd like to see, and Greg's drinking alcohol out of a coffee pot leads to our question for next week. What we meant to say is that, in terms of number of episodes, we can legally drink. We've broken yet another show length record as we break 2 hours, but hey, it's a celebration. Our friend Fahaaj sits in tonight for the historic occasion and he teaches us about Ramadan and leads us into a discussion of how we got on this crazy podcast ride. Enjoy.

Episode 19: Tres Caballeros

With Dr. Lou on call during this show we again roll 3 deep with our cast. Talk about the concert Daniel and Donnie attended the night before recording lead us into an impromptu discussion about our first concerts before we talk about what we'd want our last meal to be. Greg introduces his new 'moral dilemma' segment and we're looking for suggestions on what we can name it. And we're still looking for some of our international listeners to contact us.

Episode 18: An All-American Show (kinda)

On the eve of the Fourth Of July we go with have a heavy American themed show this week. We have guitarist Eric Johnson playing our national anthem to lead us in, we try bacon martinis on the air, and even hit on some political talk toward the end. We do stray from our theme a bit and thank the influx of German listeners we've gotten over the past few weeks. Willkommen!

This week's episode title comes from a phrase Matt has now coined. It was so good we felt it just needed to headline the show. With Lou in Florida investigating all of the zombie activity, Jim sits in with us for an entire show for the first time and tells about an interesting run-in with a plane. We talk about our biggest fears, introduce our question for next week, The Notebook comes up yet again, and Matt has a big announcement to share with everyone.

This episode was recorded in front of a live studio audience.  No, seriously, it was.  In addition to our 'Challenge The Jocks' winner, we have a few of our listeners joining us to give us their thoughts on superheroes and what they'd like to see shut down.  We give the results of our putt putt challenge (or as auto correct would call it, our pity pity challenge).  We have a great discussion on what's better, The Notebook or Titanic, and Matt gets confused on the Schmidt family dynamic.  We also dive a little into a few ghost train stories.

The tequila is flowing again for episode 14. We touch on last week's winner for the most embarrassing story, who we'd like to like to have a drink with, and open up a challenge to the public on who can beat us at putt-putt. For the second week in a row we decide to take the show outdoors. Matt's back from following his man crush through Texas to lead us into our 13th episode. Although Lou couldn't be in attendance for the show, he was still able to send us some audio and bring us all into Mr. Tickle's Corner. After a day delay due to schedule conflicts, Episode 12 is up and ready. With Nince unable to make it for this show, as he's prepping to follow his man crush, Daniel sits in with us again for some hijinks. We kick off the show with the question from last week and things get rolling from there. We introduce Lou's new segment, which we think will be a hit, and Greg has a hall of fame caliber show. Episode 11: Tequila de Mayo

Matt's back!!! In this week's episode, Donnie and Matt decide to sip almond infused Tequila during the show which leads to just a little slurring and confusion, but also hopefully to an entertaining show. We reveal our answers from last week's question of the week-our man crushes-and introduce next week's question. We hear from our friend Steve in the Netherlands via email and read a few listener "Shut It Down" suggestions. A "most embarrassing" challenge is brought up and Matt talks a little bit about his recent trip to Houston.

Episode 10: Where's Ninse?

We've hit the double digits in terms of episodes, but with Matt feeling under the weather Daniel steps up to the mic and we try to man the ship without our host.  We give the results of our NFL Draft challenge and give a few thoughts on the draft itself.  Topics range from the debacle that was Game 2 for the Blues in the Stanley Cup Playoffs to our favorite sub shop.  We introduce our question of the week, which gets us back on track for Little Pansies Tea Party, and talk about an NBA player punching a fire extinguisher which leads into other stories of assaults on inaimate objects.

Episode 9: Little Pansies Tea Party

Is the show facing a possible name change?  After listening to our talk about our guilty pleasure movies you might think we should rename the show 'Little Pansies Tea Party'.  This week we talk about our experience at the St. Louis Bags tournament and venture into movies we enjoy but don't necessarily tell everyone.  We attempt to play some outside audio from listener Fahaaj's shut it down suggestion and end the show on some interesting stories about falling down.  Also on this week's episode we open up another beer challenge around the upcoming NFL draft and around who can most accurately pick the top 10 picks.  Feel free to send in your guesses on the draft and, as always, any other suggestions to us at cjhhstl@gmail.com.

This week we're bursting at the seams with talent. Daniel, our Blues insider, joins the show to talk about the Stanley Cup Playoffs and Jim is also in the house to give his opinion on a few topics. We talk about the joy we feel in watching Blues players beat down on the opposing team and get each other to open up on our guilty pleasure music, maybe more than we initially planned.

For this week's episode we have a studio audience.....of one.  Ninsky's boy Jim sits in to observe the show and gives his input on a few of the topics.  Items this week range from the Cardinals hot start to the season to Greg's blasphemy of drinking Sam Adams.  We give the results from our batting cage challenge and talk about everyone's 'guilty pleasure' TV show.  We have some listener particpation and read a few of their 'shut it downs' on the air.  Matt also talks about his upcoming travels to the remote location of Wildwood, MO.

Episode 6: Lou is back from the DL

In honor of Easter our friend Lou has been resurrected and has rejoined the show.  We spout about retail hell, announce the Big Dance prediction winner, our next skills competition and how you can get involved in future competitions.  In a new interactive segment we're looking for you to admit your television "guilty pleasure."  As usual, we shut some people down and yet another coffee bet arises, but this time we need your help in deciding the winner!

For our fifth episode we welcome in our first guest host.  Friend and Blues 'insider' Daniel Schmidt fills in for Lou this week as he's still on assignment.  We talk a little Blues hockey as the team looks forward to the playoffs, but ADD quickly takes us to topics such as Mike Shannon telling Matt to get out of his bar to personal car accidents.  A party foul/beer spillage occurs, but is handled in true NASCAR fashion.  We also drop hints at another competition coming up soon.  Stay tuned to hear the details.

Episode 4: Back from Spring Break

Guess who's back, back again....yes, after a break last week we're back.  Rolling 3 deep this week without our compadre Lou, we do our best to do him proud.  Probably the most random of our episodes so far, topics range from the St. Louis Blues clintching a playoff spot to Donnie going on rants about 'stupid sandwiches' and pedestrians in Vegas.
We also give the results of how we finished in the 40 yard dash and you can witness a coffee bet being placed and won all in the first few minutes of the show.

Episode 3: Finding our stride...

The third episode is in the books.  We talk more about running the 40 yard dash and invite listeners to give their thoughts on the order of how we'll finish.  Topics range from Peyton Manning's upcoming release from the Indianapolis Colts to what everyone's drinking for the show to Lou finding Jesus at the gym with the focus being less on sports related items this go 'round.

Episode 1: And so it begins....

Here it is, our first podcast. Spawned from conversations at lunch about sports and any other random topics that came up, we decided to record and share with the masses.

This first show takes place in the basement bar.  It goes without saying a few drinks may have been had prior to hitting record.  Topics range from sports to what drives us crazy in our 'Shut It Down' segment.
